We are thrilled to share the news that project to filmatise «Vampire» by Steffen Kverneland has received funding by The Norwegian Film Institute (NFI). We are one step closer to the big screen!

The Edward Munch expert Steffen is in charge of curating a Munch exhibition, when a strange death at the Munch musem sets him on the trail of a dangerous mystery. As Steffen digs deeper, he uncovers a dark secret in the painter's family history.

The movie will be produced by Maipo Film AS, by producers Cornelia Boysen and Petter Onstad Løkke. Arild Fröhlich will direct, and the script is written by Aleksander Kirkwood Brown and Jørgen Færøy Flasnes. The movie will be based on the comic book «Vampire» by Steffen Kverneland.
