Norwegian girls are ashamed of their period.

A recent survey shows that more than half of us find it embarrassing to talk about our period. 62 per cent of us have received comments linking our mood to our period, and 82 per cent of 15 to 19-year-olds feel dirty when they have their period. A woman has more than 450 periods, or 2,250 days of menstruation, in one lifetime. We cannot accept that there are so many days in girls’ and women’s lives where many feel ashamed or are excluded from opportunities that boys and men have.
