With easily understandable sentences and identity as its theme, author Hilde Matre Larsen has an eye to non-fiction classics for children. Mari Kanstad Johnsen's tidy drawings offer the same associations. But Boy and Girl Play pretend (Gutt og jente later som) is quite different from educational picture books from the 1970s.
The perspective is uncompromising, childlike and playful. And for Boy and Girl, everything is possible.
