Overview Elskede grøftekant

Dear Ditch is a collection of poetry about the municipality. With a distinctive warmth and humanism Gro Dahle writes about humans, animals, and landscapes, while displaying failure and deficiencies, failed politics, both well-meaning and calculated. And hope!

Somewhere a line must be drawn, says the municipality. Because somewhere the municipality must begin. The term “municipality” used to be a fairly dry word, but when so many municipalities in Norway were combined in 2020 it became loaded with emotions, engagement, new content. In this collection of poetry, we meet the local GP, the principal, the janitor, the hairdresser, the badger, the maple tree, the mayor, the buildings in the area, the roads and the pipes – and the dead.

Det er her jeg hører til 26.10.2022

«... den har et allmennmenneskelig perspektiv som overskrider det lokale og treffer oss alle.»

«... det er lenge siden jeg har lest en diktsamling som griper meg som denne.»
