Overview Den kappekledde

Passion and Mystery at Finnskogen!

Waterfall is the first Norwegian series set in Finnskogen, an enormous forested area that stretches along both sides of the Norwegian-Swedish border. The area is named after the Finnish immigrants who settled there in the 16th and 17th centuries, and the culture is rich with myths and sagas.

We find ourselves in Finnskogen in 1874. Amalie, a farmer’s daughter, has fallen in love with a Finnish man named Mitti. The two have enjoyed stolen moments together in the woods, but now she is worried about what her parents will do when they learn of her Finnish boyfriend. Her parents have other plans for her. They have already decided that she will marry the town’s sheriff.

When Amalie was a young girl, she witnessed a man dressed in a cape throw a young woman into a waterfall. The memory haunts her and no one wants to talk about what happened. But Amalie can’t get rid of the terrible memory. Who was the woman? Why was she killed? And the man who killed her, is he still in the area?
