Throughout the writing of Beate Grimsrud, from her debut in 1990 to the novel Children of Eternity (Evighetsbarna), we find many original and thought provoking quotes and sentences mirroring the author´s way of being in the world. Some of them reflecting, others challenging for the mind and others again are funny. This selection is characterized by her very distinct wisdom of life, like for example:

"She is beautiful, about as beautiful as me. But on her is shows much better."

"Silence sounds the same in all languages."

"I fold my hands and pray: Please God, don´t let me become religious."
