The year's longest book! A very special accordion-book that grows as you read it. Unfold this humorous and spirited picture book and see everything that happens in the kitchen while you're sleeping!
I wake up from some noises and creep downstairs, but almost don't believe what I'm seeing – because underneath the striped kitchen mat, I find nothing other than the cross-eyed neighbor cat snoring!
But that's not the worst part… Because what is really happening in the kitchen while we're asleep? Who is making all those strange noises? You won't believe it before you see it – but luckily Ingeborg Eliassen and Hilde Hodnefjeld have created a colorful and fun picture book to show you!
Technical facts: You Won't Believe It Until You See It is made of solid paper (but not cardboard). It can be read like a normal book, but when you unfold it, it grows to over two meters long! On the one side, you can read the poem and see what is happening in the kitchen – and it's a lot! On the other side of the accordion, we're standing outside of the house and peeking through the window.
Without a doubt, this year's most original book!
Ingeborg Eliassen (1953– ) is from the County of Nordland in Northern Norway. She published her first children's book in 1979. Since then she has written plays, poems, song lyrics and monologues which have been enthusiastically received by both critics and audiences.
