Immediately after the pandemic, interest rates in Norway were very low. To avoid having to work part-time at Vinmonopolet, the author buys some flats he can rent out so he can spend his time walking his dog in the forest and focusing on his writing. But when inflation comes knocking, our hero finds himself under pressure. His wife, the manager of the central bank, wants to raise interest rates to counteract raising prices, while he, of course, wants the interest rates to remain low. The future doesn’t look good. He risks suffering a major blow.
