The revelation of the Stein Organisation in Bergen in 1941 is one of the major provocation cases of the war. Several of those implicated made daring escapes – for some it ended well, for others not. This is an account of how the escape itself came about. The motorcutter Blia came from Shetland to collect an agent, but was wrecked with around forty people aboard. This was the single greatest loss in the Shetland base's history.
