Overview Klovnen som rett og slett ikke var særlig morsom

A while back, award-winning Danish writer (and illustrator) Kim Fupz Aakeson plucked up the courage to ask Norway’s prize-winning author and illustrator Stian Hole if they could make a picture book together. And Stian didn’t need to be asked twice!

The result is this beautiful, playful, colourful book, The Clown Who Really Wasn’t Very Funny, about Dummy the clown who’s about to lose his job because the audiences aren’t laughing as loudly or as often as the circus owner would like them to. But Jan Jensen (as he’s really called) has other sides to him – other sides that the audience also appreciate.

It’s all about life and about being sent back to the reserves bench! And it’s about how not everything has to be funny, noisy and action-packed all the time.
