Overview Marlena Evensen 1: Hot mail

The teen-series about Marlene Evensen is a series aimed at girls that combines a traditional good story with a very accessible form.

Marlena Evensen is fourteen and lives most of the time with her mother, and the rest of the time with her father and halfsister Siri.

Marlena, Minda and Emma drool over the boys in the 10th grade. They dream they will be asked to the school prom. Minda gets an idea to send invitations to their dream dates by email, using pseudonyms. Marlena isn’t sure which boy she is REALLY interested in, and ends up sending two invitations. But she doesn’t tell the other girls, and this can lead to trouble. A lot of trouble! The prom unfolds in catastrophe for all three girls!

The books about Marlena Evensen are entertaining and funny, while the author still manages to tackle serious subjects, including the occasionally difficult family life.

Marlena Evensen: Hot Mail is the first book in the series.

Reviews Marlena Evensen 1: Hot mail

Knut Anders Løken, Barnebokkritikk.no

Victoria Klausen (14) i spalten Ungdom leser, SortlandsAvisa
