Love and Murder is the title of Atle Nielsen´s second crime novel, with the main character Ole Bull. He is a TV-journalist and have just forced through a controversial news report that might have great implications for a member of the city council and her family. The case takes a dramatic turn a couple of weeks later, as Bull´s boss is shot and killed outside his home.
The police, with the aggressive - but skilled - Ingemunn Fenne leading them, understand that the murder is linked to the news case about the allegedly corrupt city council member. Both the police and the press suspect that the killer has more names on the list.
Ole Bull travels to London to lay low for a while. It is a city he knows well and also the hometown of photographer Emma Byrnes. Little does he know that one of the traces in the murder case lead right there.
It turns into a life-and-death race, both in London and on the west coast of Norway, and the skilled reporter is faced with taking the hardest decision of his life when the people behind the murder in Bergen get closer to their next victim.
Love and Murder is a dark thriller about dangerous curiosity and journalistic integrity being put to the test over and over. Where Jørn Lier Horst knows how to write about the everyday life of a policeman, Atle Nielsen does the same with the life of a journalist.
