This simple garment has become a real craze, and not without reason. A poncho can be thin or thick, with or without a fringe, plain or patterned, an outer garment or something to wear to a party.
The design of a poncho offers almost endless possibilities, but the common feature is the simple shape and ease of use. Denise Samson has created a book crammed with crocheted and knitted variations, in all styles and shapes. Many of the ponchos are her own design, but she has also selected her favourites from the Norwegian yarn producers' best patterns.
In addition to 35 patterns for ponchos and a couple of beautiful shawls, there are also a few smart accessories to go with some of them, such as matching ear-muffs and mittens.
Denise Samson is a passionate knitter and regularly contributes her own knitting patterns to the weekly press. She is also an experienced translator of books about hobbies and handcrafts. Poncho! is her second book on knitting. The first, Hekta på fletter, a reference book of cable knitting, came out in summer 2015.
