Overview Reisen mot Nord

The book based on the major film NORTH premiering autumn 2025

When Kai disappears without a trace from 19th-century Copenhagen, Gerda embarks on a perilous journey to find her dearest friend. Along the way, she faces countless dangers but also discovers unexpected allies, from talking birds to wise and helpful witches. But in the shadows lurks the ice-cold Snow Queen and her apprentice, the treacherous Louie. They hold Kai captive in an ice castle far north in Norway. Will Gerda manage to save her friend and return home before Christmas?

The story is based on H.C. Andersen's immortal fairy tale "The Snow Queen", and takes us on a captivating journey through a snow-covered landscape. Bente Lohne, known for her imaginative stories, has created both a film and a story that honor the beloved classic while adding new depth and a distinctly Nordic flavor.
