This book is full of colourful, decorative sitting mats, made from matted wool and decorated with needle-felted motifs which range from simple geometric shapes, perfect for new beginners, to more advanced pictures with exciting shadow effects and layer on layer of colour. The book includes a technical section with pictures and descriptions of both crochet and needle-felting.

Three easy basic patterns are provided, with the simple motifs described step by step. At the back of the book there is a big page of patterns where all the 50 motifs are printed full size.

The mats are good to have on stools and chairs, or packed into your rucksack when out walking. They are also pretty enough to serve as wall decorations when they are not being sat upon.
