Helle Siggerud has sought inspiration from the phases of life, designing beautiful, practical, well-fitting clothes. The book is divided into six stages: The Arrival of the Stork, Childhood, From Child to Adult, Everyday Life, Queen for a Day, and The Road Ahead. Most of the clothing is for women, although there are also some lovely designs for children, men and dogs. The book contains more than 30 knitting designs, including jackets, sweaters, waistcoats, shawls and mittens, together with sewing instructions for some of the clothing.
Helle Siggerud has knitted and sewn for as long as she can remember. The former communications adviser took an education as a folk-costume maker, and now she runs a sewing business in Lørenskog where she sews folk-costumes and creates knitting designs.
