We are very happy that Tiril Broch Aakre has been selected to the New Voices-program in NORLA.

NORLA is doing a very good job with promoting Norwegian Literature internationally, and they have now started a program to promote new writers abroad. The program is called Nye stemmer - New Voices. Tiril Broch Aakre is the second of our writers to be selected, as Sigbjørn Mostue was selected in the last period.

Tiril Broch Aakre (1976–) is a writer, editor, translator and consultant. She made her debut in 2013 with the poetry collection Lace (Kniplinger). In 2015, her first novel Save the Children (Redd barna) received excellent reviews and she was awarded The Young Critics Award for it. She has since written the book Fjällräven Yellow (Fjällräven gul), and is currently writing on the follow up to Save the Children.
