In Battery we follow Regine from the moment she meets her husband as a student and they settle down. He is a musician, she is a writer. They have children and life unfolds.

Until Regine's legs – literally - give out and she falls. At first she laughs it off, but when it happens again she sees her GP who sends her for neurological tests. The diagnosis is as shocking as it is life-changing. She has multiple sclerosis, a chronic disease that for Regine comes in attacks followed by periods of improvement.
