In 1928 the American horror writer H.P. Lovecraft wrote a horror story, 'The Call of Cthulhu,' about the fearsome experiences of the Norwegian seaman Gustaf Johansen in the Antarctic Ocean. The story continues in Tore Aurstad's Fangarmer, where we meet Johansen's young neighbours in Oslo and hear what went on where Lovecraft's story stops.
