Do you dare return to Norway's most notorious town of horror?
It's a year since crazy Beate Skym went round ripping out the hearts of 13-year-olds in Skymdal to bring her dead son back to life. You may have thought that life – the regular dreary Skymdal life which Thale wants to escape from as soon as possible – had returned to the town, and perhaps it has.
But then things start to happen again. Something terrible that strikes the town's youngsters. Something scares them out of their wits, but no-one knows what it is. Why is everyone so afraid to talk? Does it have anything to do with the threats made to the girls in the handball team which Thale's big sister plays for? Or could Irja, the chief bully herself, be behind it? Or the new people from Oslo, who opened a café and want to make money from Skymdal's dubious reputation? Life in Skymdal won't be any better for Thale after this.
No-One Gets Away is a loose follow-up to the horror novel Nobody Sleeps Safe At Night, which won the Boksluker award in 2019.
