Mons and Mona are curious about food, where food comes from, how it tastes and how it is made. The two characters and their dog, Boffen, are already well-known by many Norwegian children. All “5 a day” preschools are sent books about Mons and Mona along with other materials from the Norwegian Fruit and Vegetable Education Center. In this book, Mons and Mona are going to have vegetable soup for dinner and need to stop by the store to buy what they need. Boffen has to wait outside.
