A second later I am filled with a tremendous sound that reverberates from my very core. Then I rise up. Not far, just a few centimetres above the stage, but enough to feel as if I am flying. It is a wonderful feeling. I close my eyes and just hang there. I know that as long as I hold this note, everything will be fine. And that as long as I hold this note, I will be happy.
Nine authors who are also musicians, or nine musicians who also write. Nine short stories about how music can change a situation and a person. About how notes can make you soar, how the sound of a piano can make you do something new, about how difficult it is to find the right words. About all of the memories captured in music, about all the joy, heartaches and dreams. And about impossibilities that suddenly become reality, just because music exists. And people who love music.
