Last man on his back
|Norwegian title:||Zidanes dans|
|Age:||9 - 12|
Twelve-year-old Mikke Milnbergan was lucky enough to get a bit of Maradona’s magic a few years ago. Now he’s back – and this time, it’s Zinedine Zidane who needs a hand. As thanks, Mikke gets to borrow Zidane’s incredible feint!
What do you do if you’re playing Playstation with your pals and Zinedine Zidane himself appears on the screen asking for your help? Zidane has been kidnapped, and tomorrow he’s supposed to be leading Real Madrid against Barcelona in El Clásico – the biggest match in Spanish soccer. Somebody has to find him and get him home to Madrid. And that somebody turns out to be Mikke, aided by Hansa Shearer and Kari.
But Zidane is trapped in the Playstation universe, and Mikke and the gang get sent to Edinburgh in 1550, Stamford Bridge in 1066 (so not Chelsea’s homeground!) and, finally, to Belgium in the First World War, where German and English soldiers play soccer between the trenches. In other words, it isn’t an entirely risk-free the mission isn't exactly risk-free.
What is going on – and how can the famous Zidane feint help them?
This book is packed with excitement and action, a dash of love and, oddly enough, a spot of snakes and ladders, And, of course, there’s plenty of soccer!
